Our Youth Choir will sing the Prelude at 11:00.  Let’s wear our blue shirts and dark pants or skirt and arrive at 10:45 to prepare.  Adults will sing “Nearer My God to Thee” at 8:30 and 11:00 am.   Here are special dates to remember along with some of the anthems scheduled:  November 2 – All Saints (see above) November 8 – All Church Work Day – all hands on deck!   MUSIC NEWS  October 6, 2014   in this issue :: Handbells :: Youth Ringers and Singers :: Christmas Cantata :: Kids Choirs :: Music Lessons :: Community Nativity Celebration Good afternoon!    Five of our fabulous youth joined around 100 youth from the Metroplex at St. Andrew UMC for a choir workshop this past Sunday.  They learned anthems, went to drama and vocal coaching classes and enjoyed singing in a large choir.  My favorite composer, Taylor Davis, was one of the clinicians.  I’m so glad that Taylor, Katrina, Jayda, Luke and Michael were able to attend.   Here are special dates to remember along with some of the anthems scheduled:    October 12 – Be the Church Sunday  – One Service at 9:00 am – Youth and   Adults Sing “Let It Shine”  Arrive at 8:45 am dressed in a Holy Covenant   t-shirt if you have one!  Need one?  Debbie has some … Read More
