Message from Pastor Carol: January 1, 2015

Happy New Year!

With the new year comes the opportunity to set goals and plans for the next twelve months. The Bishop has challenged all churches in the North Texas Conference to read the gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles in 2015. I thought it might be fun for me to use this as my preaching text this next year. We will begin the year reading Luke and will continue through Easter. In August we will begin reading Acts of the Apostles. The value in reading these text together is we can learn from the life and ministry of Jesus in Luke and then the witness of the formation of the first group of Christians. My hope is that we will read these text, prayer about our mission as a church and learn how God wants to use us as individuals and as a church to bring the “good news” to our world.
