Harvey’s Kids: April 9

Saturday,  November 12th 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Covenant Center Each month, we open the church for special needs children and their siblings to come to Holy Covenant while their parents have a night out.  Kids want to know they have value and purpose!  Special needs children CAN have a personal knowledge of Jesus Christ!               This program is staffed by volunteers who feel led to share the love of Jesus with these children and their families.  The volunteers are continually blessed by their involvement with Harvey’s Kids. There is a core group of volunteers, but more volunteers are always welcome and needed!  If you are interested in volunteering, but can only do it for one month, let us know which month – we’d love for you to spend time with us. Palm2Passion

Palm2Passion March 20th 12:15pm-2:30pm  Palm2Passion is a interactive learning experience where families can learn about the histories and traditions that lead up to and set to stage for Easter. We will go from the celebration of Palm Sunday and explore Passover and Last Supper. This experience is designed for all types of families, with children and without. We will begin about 12:15 March 20th  in the Covenant Center and should conclude about 2:30pm. We will be offering a lunch as a part of the event, so we would appreciate advanced sign up to make sure we have enough without over preparing.

Metrocrest CROP Hunger Walk: Saturday, September 19, 2015

Ten local churches/organizations will participate in the annual Metrocrest CROP Hunger Walk on Saturday, September 19, 2015.  Walkers raise awareness of hunger in our community and around the world, and raise funds to fight hunger. The Walk will kick off at Mill Valley Fellowship, 13545 Webb Chapel Rd, Farmers Branch. Check-in at 8:00 a.m. The Firewheel Gospel Music Band is returning to provide entertainment as walkers return.  Water and other support for comfort and safety will be provided along the 2-mile route. There is also a 1-mile short cut. Everyone can participate by either walking or making a donation to one of Holy Covenant’s walkers who will be asking for sponsors. 25% of the funds raised are dedicated to the Food Pantry at Metrocrest Social Services; the remaining funds are used by Church World Service in their global hunger and poverty fighting programs in 30+ countries. Holy Covenant Youth News: October 5, 2014

  Fall is full!  Join us for the fun!   Hello!   October is in full motion and our busy month has started.  Please take time to check the dates on the side of this email to keep your calendars up to date.  Of specific note, I’d like to get a head count for how many adults and youth will be attending our day at the Texas State Fair!  We’re planning on riding the train so plan accordingly for rides.  I still haven’t heard much regarding Sunday School, I got a few responses, but would really like to hear back from more folks what obstacles are out there for our youth being a regular part of this educational opportunity to grow closer to God.  Also, Harvey’s Kids is THIS coming Saturday.  Can I get a head count for that as well?  Will help us plan accordingly.     Jason    … Read More
