MUSIC AND WORSHIP NEWS June 21, 2017 Wishing everyone a pleasant and joyful summer season. We are relaxing a bit for the summer but the Wesleyan Choir is performing at 11:00 a.m. worship services. Please be sure to participate when you are available. You are missed when you are not here. REMINDER: The Wesleyan Choir will rehearse at 7:00 p.m. tonight, June 21, 2017 and next week, June 28, 2017. Schedule: The Wesleyan choir will be singing for the 11:00 a.m. service on Sundays throughout summer unless otherwise specified. Please arrive in the choir room no later than 10:45 a.m. each Sunday to run through music for worship service. MUSIC AND WORSHIP NEWS May 24, 2017 The Bells did a fabulous job ringing for service this past Sunday. Thank you to Sheli and the Covenant Carillons for their beautiful music. Bells are on a break for the summer; please keep an eye out for rehearsals to begin again in the Fall. Jonathan and the praise band will be taking care of music for church this coming Sunday, May 28th. I look forward to hearing what they put together. MUSIC AND WORSHIP NEWS April 11, 2017 Holy Week This past Sunday was a beautiful day of music and a wonderful tribute to all the heart and soul that Debbie put into this music program. Thank you to everyone who made the day special. Let us continue to honor all the years of hard work and love that Debbie put into this program by doing our best to keep it running up to the standards she held us to. We will have regular bells and choir rehearsal this Wednesday, April 12, 2017 with bells at 6:30 p.m. and choir at 7:30 p.m. Choir rehearsal will probably run a little shorter this week as will only be working on Good Friday and Easter music. MUSIC AND WORSHIP NEWS March 28, 2017 You have have heard by now, that my last Sunday at Holy Covenant is April 9, 2017.  While June was the suggested date for my departure, I have chosen to leave on this wonderfully, musical Sunday.   The children, youth and adults will present music that day along with a jazz band accompanying The Gospel Mass by Robert Ray.  I hope you will come and help me celebrate my 18 1/2 years with the great people of Holy Covenant  Many children, youth and adults have been a part of Sunday mornings, Cabarets, Musicals, Fine Arts Camps, Choir Tours, Taize services and more events during my tenure.  I love you all with all my heart and give God thanks every day for each one of you! Adults are learning the Robert Ray, Gospel Mass to be performed on Palm Sunday at 8:30 and 11:00.  Youth are taking a break from rehearsals until April 2nd when we will rehearse music for Palm Sunday (April 9).   Youth Choir tour is canceled for 2017. Covenant Carillons will play Dry Bones on April 2 at 8:30 and 11:00. MUSIC AND WORSHIP NEWS March 1, 2017 Talent Show Report:  What a wonderful night of talent!  from the singing, playing instruments and dancing to the hula hoop routine, it was an amazing night.  About $700 was raised for Music Ministries and the winner by way of the most donations, was our youth choir and actors doing a scene directed and created by Jon Blackburn Mays.  My thanks to all that supported this effort in front of and behind the scenes! Wednesday night is our Annual Ash Wednesday service at 7:00 pm.  Covenant Carillons will rehearse promptly at 6:30 pm and the Wesleyan Choir promptly at 6:45 pm.
