What is Happening This Week

10/17 – 10/23/16

Dear Church,

The Annual Dinner & Auction is this Saturday, October 22nd.  Dinner is being catered by Nate’s BBQ and will be served between 5:45 and 6:30 pm in the Covenant Center. The cost for dinner is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. This is your LAST CHANCE to make a dinner reservation at https://www.hcumc.org/event-registrations/sock-hop-auction-saturday-october-22-2016. The Silent Auction begins at 5:30 pm in the Sanctuary. The Live Auction begins at 7:00 pm. The theme this year is Sock Hop and costumes are a fun part of that. Dust off your poodle skirt and grease back your hair and join us on October 22nd! For a sampling of some of our live auction items and more info, go to HCUMC Dinner and Auction. Like us and share! You can find more details at www.hcumc.org.

I am so thankful to learn I am CANCER FREE!! I am eager to return to Holy Covenant, but I’m following doctors’ orders and continue to gain strength so I can truly celebrate with you on November 6!

“Creating IMPACT for a Deeply Satisfying Life” sermon series is designed to lead us into prioritizing our goals and use the tools we already have to enjoy a life experience that is deeply satisfying for us while impacting the lives of others.

Through some of the best preachers in the North Texas Conference, we are going to open ourselves to a new way of being in our lives so that each and every one of us has the opportunity to feel satisfied and whole.

Each week we will consider what it means to use the lessons of Christ to direct and order our lives today. We will move beyond hearing and into action!
