What is Happening This Week

11/20 – 11/26/2017

Dear Church,

After worship on Nov 26th, we will have a Family Advent Event at Holy Covenant UMC.  There are a couple of different parts to be aware of:

1. We are providing a take home learning activity for your family to do BEFORE the event. At Holy Covenant we want to encourage  parents and care-givers to be a child’s first and primary faith teacher. So instead of bringing them to us to teach, we are providing a resource for you to use in your home. This provides you as parents and caregivers an opportunity to participate as role model in your child’s faith formation. Some are printed out at church or you can download HERE.

2. On Nov 26th during the Sunday school hour (9:45am-10:45am) there will be a stained glass craft for families to participate in. Parents and caregivers, please come with your children and do not simply drop them off.

3. After the 11am worship there will be a pot-luck lunch. Please sign up on Sign-Up Genius HERE.

4. After lunch we will load up as families and travel to Christ UMC in Plano. We will go to their sanctuary and look for symbols your children learned about in the take home activity you did together. Their stained glass is beautiful and full of wonderful imagery.

Register now for Disciple 1 (fast track) New Testament. You do not need to have taken the Old Testament Section first. We will meet 12 times covering one chapter each month.
