What is Happening This Week 1/12-1/15/23
Every year during January, I try to create worship experiences that will set our year up for inspiration or at least what we may need spiritually. Sometimes I am close, other years it is a total miss, like 2020….
So this year, we began last week with remembering our baptism. We were reminded we are beloved and God, our Creator, is well pleased with us! This week, we will reflect on being people of a powerful light, a Christ-like light in our world! People like MLK Jr. who believed “Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
Are we brave enough to be a bearer of light this year?
Hope you will join us on Sunday. I will look forward to greeting you then!

Breakfast for Austin Street
Saturday, January 28
9 am to Noon
Holy Covenant Kitchen
Holy Covenant is scheduled to again provide breakfast for the homeless at Austin Street Shelter. If you are able to donate food, please prepare 12 sandwiches, 12 pieces of fruit and 12 hard-boiled eggs and deliver them to Holy Covenant on Saturday, January 28th, between 9 am and noon. Bottled water and juice boxes are also appreciated.
Please drive around to the kitchen door where members of the Spiritual Journeymen will receive the donations from you.
Austin Street has raised the total number of beds from 400 to 500 so the need for food has increased. The Journeymen will deliver the food to Austin Street Saturday afternoon. Please contact Rick Davis (972-814-5325 [email protected]otmail.com) with any questions.
Tuesday-Thursday from 10-2
2nd and 4th Sundays from 12-1 pm.
We currently need: mac & cheese and large pasta sauce.
Donations may be delivered Thursdays and Saturdays from 10:00-noon. In addition to that, we accept donations on Sundays before and after both worship services.
